Another birthday cake

Elmo cake

Yes, I know elmo looks a little chubby, but that is just the way he turned out. He was supposed to be sitting on a potty, but he was to fat for it and it fell over. At least my daughter liked it! I joked that this was elmo's overweight cousin, Guedo.

fancy nancy cake

This was a really fun cake to make!! With this cake, I finally got the hang of how to use fondant.
I think that it was a hit with all of the fancy girls at my neice's party.

army cake

I made this cake for my brother who just got back from boot camp.

80th birthday cake

My grandpa loves coins, so I made a coin for every year from the year he was born until 2009.

congrats cake

Zebra cake

Yoda cake

I made this for my oldest son's 7th birthday party.

Monkey cake

This is my son's 4th birthday cake. He is obsessed with monkeys so I thought this would be appropriate

Babies

Here are some little fondant babies that my sister created for a twin baby shower cake I made.

Another birthday cake

My niece's elmo birthday cake

I made this cake for my neice who was turning 2. Ir was really fun to make all the little fondant blocks.

practice cake

I made this cake before the wedding cake to practice with the fondant. My sister and I figured how to make some really pretty fondant roses and daisies. This cake actually turned out pretty well.

My first wedding cake

I made this cake in august of '08 for my cousin. The cake cost about $200 to make. It was red velvet, vanilla, and devils food. It was quite time consuming and difficult, but I really learned a lot about fondant and how hard it can be to transfer cakes in the car. (Tip for the next wedding cake: refrigerate before transporting!)
